How do i unlock ancient technology?

I killed a boss and did not get an ancient technology point.
did i miss it on the ground and not pick it up?
i got the ancient civilization parts...

did you kill one of the world bosses (not sure if thats the correct term). the ones with icons on the map?

First time clear of bosses will get you the technology for unlocking new craftable. You can repeat bosses to get more spark plugs.

You also get ancient technology points by activating fast travel points.

I have activated several fast travel points, and still have no ancient technology points.

is gettin g them automatic, or a thing you have to pick up on the ground?

I have unlocked 31 levels of technology also

I killed Chillet on the overworld map and got one.
I wonder why clearing a dungeon did not give me one?

Just beat bosses and you get Ancient points.

Fast travel gives regular tech points. Ancient techs are given by bosses with icons on map.

I dont think cave bosses do. Caves are a semi rng generated to get random higher tier pals. The Bosses on map and Tower bosses get you the ancient tech unlock points and spark plugs.
