Does Work Speed affect Grazing?
The Pals producing goods at my ranches aren't fast enough for my liking. I'm wondering, does Artisan and similar bonuses that improve work speed actually affect the rate at which Pals produce goods at a Ranch?

Bumping because I'd like to know this, as well.

Also would like to know.

You can always test it out at your ranch. Remove all the other pals from the ranch but two of them. One with a worker passive and one without. And observe.
Artisan is extremely noticeable when a crafting Pal has it. So it should be the same with a grazing Pal.

I tested it a little and no -- it does not. An Artisan Chikipi and a Chikipi with no passives laid eggs at the exact same time every time.
Thank you for sharing this information.
My next experiment will be whether upgrading Pals via Essence Condenser helps.
The skill passive that makes the Pals produce these goods increases in level for every star you get. Also, after 3 stars, the proficiency for the Ranch increases from 1 to 2.

However I do not have enough Maus to test right now, but I guess I could do it with Chikipis and Lamballs.

I tried with a 0 star Mau vs a 1 star Mau and I'm getting anywhere from 50% more to 100% more gold coins. I'll run it for longer just to make sure.

I’d be highly disappointed if work speed doesn’t affect ranching. I just spent a bunch of time breeding my cows and chickens for work speed :-(

In short. Yes!

Haven't focused on the ranch, really, but this is useful knowledge. Might test the condenser method if I get a good pasture pal.
Meh, I tried comparing a 4 star Mau with a 0 Star Mau now and the results are not any different than the initial test. I also noticed that sometimes the 0 star Mau outperforms the 4 star Mau, so it's really hard to tell. There's probably some broken layer of RNG underneath this process, or sometimes the NPCs get stuck or frozen and they do not actually perform their job.
In short, don't waste your time or try to run more tests.

If you think logicly work speed means filling a progress bar and since ranch doesn't have one I doubt it would work but it need to be tested

I tested with chikipi and the 0star layed 1 egg every time where as for each star up it added the chance that it layed multiple eggs back to back. So at 4star it could still lay 1 egg ect however it also had the chance to lay 5 eggs in rapid succession(is pretty funny to watch em just pop out 5 eggs back to back). Rough production numbers based on me sitting idle for 3 days and then picking up all the eggs, my 3star layed about 2x the amount as my 0star and the 4star didnt really increase all that much compared to the 3star. At 4* they get level 2 farming which if its the same as handiwork it should be about 200% workspeed but my chicken only produced about 10 more eggs than its 3star counterpart

TLDR no workspeed doesnt seem to effect farming pals but increasing their stars for the passive effect does, however could be a case by case basis

I just tested this out.

Mozzarina 1:
0 Stars
- Serious (+20% Work Speed)
Total work speed is 84

Mozzarina 2:
0 Stars
- Serious (+ 20% Work Speed)
- Artisan (+50% Work Speed)
- Work Slave (+30% Work Speed)
Total work speed is 140

In 5 minutes, Mozzarina 1 produced 4 milk, and Mozzarina 2 produced 6 milk. It seems Work Speed increases the timing of when it produce milk.

I also did a quick test for a 1 star and 2 star Mozzarina. A 1 star Mozzarina produces up to 2 milk each cycle, and a 2 star Mozzarina produces up to 3 milk each cycle. I noticed there is some randomness to the algorithm.

The level of the Pal (star) affects total quantity of ranch goods per tick, but artisan and other work speed stuff does nothing. A multi star chikipi lays at the same rate as a 0 star chikipi but it gives more per lay. Same with cows, wool critters, etc.

They're not working, work speed doesn't do anything for breeding or farming as there are no stats for breeding and the only way to increase the farming skill is to condense pals.
It doesn't affect the quantity of items dropped, it affects the frequency chance of a drop.
