Tombat mining

Hey.

I have a tombat and want it to mine ores. But when I throw him at ores, he mines for a little bit and goes back to mining stone in the stone pit.

Any ideas on how to make him stay and mine ores?

Destroy the stonepit.
It does not take much to rebuild.

But i want to mine stone aswell, but not with him

As far as I've been able to tell, there's not reliable way to get your pals to prioritise ore over the stone pit. The only current solution is not to have a stone pit in the same base as where you intend to mine ore. For best results with ore you'll want a base specially for it, in one of those places where ~8 ore deposits spawn.

Ah I see. I have built my whole base around the ores :/

The pals will prioritize the stone pit. You can probably throw them at an ore node and get them to mine it until it's gone, but they'll go right back to the pit and you'll have to throw them at the next one.

Going to have to wait and see if they add a better system to manage base pals.

Once you get to base lvl 10 have a separate ore mining base and your other for wood and stone
