Quick question about the breeding farm

Heyho folks, how do i actually assign pals to the breeding farm? I cant seem to interact with the structure and the chest is only for the cake. Am I missing something here? x)

put em in your palbox and once they are in you can pick em up and throw'em into the breeding pin.
