Can you run Palworld with less than 16bg RAM?
I had a lot of questions regarding my 7-8 year old computer being able to play Palworld. I have a GTX 970 graphics card, with 8gb of RAM, which according to minimum requirements tells me that i wouldnt be able to play the game without major issues. I did however take the chance to buy the game, and i must say im suprised how good the game runs.

I have 16 GB RAM. When I'm playing Palworld +-60-65% is allocated, which means you need at least 10 GB. 8 GB is probably not enough.

ps: The 32 GB as recommended specs is just absurd...

Kzc pretty much beat me to it, Play it fine with 16GB but with it being unreal engine i couldn't recommend going under 10-12gb, With that said i've seen people play this with 8gb ram on Low. but thats the best information i can give you and might not work all with GTX 970 also weighing it down

My point is that i have less than the minimum requirements, and the game still runs really well on my computer. This thread is just to inform people with "bad" computers that it is possible to play the game with less than minimum required specs.

I imagine it would run better if you're playing on a server than on single player. Less to cache/reserve, since the server would be handling the bulk of it.

That said, my expertise on these matters is precisely nil, so take the word of someone who knows better over mine.

Players found out that sometimes they had lag issues thus the single play doesn't

True, but that wouldn't necessarily be a RAM issue, would it? Or if it is (eg. RAM leak), that could be a universal issue that's more visible/impactful with low RAM than it would be with the minimum/recommended specs.

Just spitballing, again, I don't really know what I'm talking about here.

32 is probably what they are thinking for somebody running their own server while playing multiplayer with all the settings maxed out.

It isn’t if running a server, which is included with the game. For solo though ya, it is silly.

Not really, considering most games are advertised/shown at 4k instead of 1080p.

I mean, you could just buy 8gb of ram. It's not like it's expensive. Just a quick glance at newegg is showing it's less than the cost of this game.

Since Windows 10 takes about ~2GB - 2.5GB (if you bothered to turn off the bloat), that doesn't leave a lot of room for Steam plus a game, and a browser for looking stuff up, on 8GB. For gaming, you need 16 GB minimum. Though you probably will never get near that, it is the recommended amount. If you're gaming in 4K and all that high resolution stuff, then some people suggest 32GB of ram. But you also need a video card for it with lots of ram.

Throw away your PC, it is useless in 2024.

Not really, it is not able to play all games, but it still has some juice left.
