Oh and not like “almost had me believing that”, but like, almost had me believing weren’t a troll.
Nintendo stole his concept from Dragon Quest
Is Coca Coal Legal Or Pepsi. Is McDonalds Legal or Hesburger.
Is Civilizatsion legal or Old world or Humankinde or etc...? X-com? Wargames they all use same Tanks and soldiers and guns.
Is TemTem Legal? is Persona legal ?
Damn I cant even Play football anymore because that Ball and Field are stolen from someone.
Where am i saying that they are not allowed to use it? I'm well aware of the most recent TOS. It clearly says that they have to notify Steam that it uses AI so that Steam can review the content before it gets a pass.
They forgot or did not do this, and so the game will be shut down temporary in order for Steam to manually review it. And if it turns out that they have made critical errors when implementing it, then there will be a big problem.
No proof
i mean, law takes time, they need to assemble proof of copyright, present it to a judge, law cases take time and i don't see how Nintendo will allow a game about shooting pokemon-alike creatures with guns, it's insanely violent and hurts it's image.
There's no need to shut it down to 'manually review it', that's just a revenge fantasy you've come up with because you're mad about the forbidden technology.
It takes 20 minutes to fill out a cease and desist template.
I'm sorry to tell you, but i'm not the one making the rules.
Exactly, it's just Pokemon fans freaking out that people are playing something else.
In short...
This game: *exists*

You're not the one who makes the rules, valve is the one who makes the rules and right now they're making millions off this game.
You're thinking like "the AI police" rather than a businessman. Ripping a high performing game on launch would have a chilling effect on all its other partners as well: "what if the anti AI bigots decide that I'm hiding AI and trick valve into ruining my launch?' The loss of momentum would be devastating and valve would be incredibly exposed to lawsuits if they didn't discover AI.
Much like unity unilaterally forcing a cost change into it's Devs, you only get one chance to alienate your business partners and undermine the foundations of your business.
I just checked with doctor gonzo and while he's not a doctor or a lawyer (and this isn't legal advice) both valve and the third party who convinced valve to do so could be legally liable if they pulled the game in this way and it turned out it was not true.
Tortious interference for the third party and economic loss for Valve. TI is one of my favourite torts because it's often the bureaucratic or corporate version of an angry karenCo.
where was the AI used? before you keep spreading misinformation, where was it used? the pals are hand crafted, take a look at the interviews with the CEO. AGAIN WHERE WAS AI USED YOU LIAR.
