+1, it kind of defeats the purpose of extra bases beyond being glorified fast travel points right now.

It'd also be nice to use them as Base Expansions alternative to second bases. With Pals pathing AI needing so much free space, you run out of viable room for much besides the necessities quick.

One possible solution I've seen mentioned is always visit your other bases every time you reload the game. Not sure about servers. The pals in my one and only base seem to keep working, but I always come back to sleep at night.

ya idk if everyone mentioning this is playing single player bcuz my mining base is always smelting and I only visit it periodically

Where is your mining base? To me it seems like only certain areas are chunk loaded.
