Entertainment Length? How do Servers also work?
Little low on cash right now in RL stupid economy. Wondering how much entertainment this game provides? I love survival like games. This looks like a Twist of maybe Ark and Rust.

Also how does MP work? Is it your own world like Lego Universe or is there something bigger? Is there a way to make friends float around, group up, etc? I'm always bad at meeting new people I just end up being a loaner lol.

Thanks for your time.

You're looking at a few dozen hours of content, similar to other survival-crafters due to their natural tendency for grind/progression. Timers and resource costs are actually pretty lax in Palworld.

Multiplayer works by you either joining a dedicated server or having a friend (or yourself) host a 4-player co-op world.

You can't bring existing characters into different worlds (so, you can't bring your solo world character into a friend's game).

there is about 30-40 hours of playtime or more depending on you and how fast you are. There is plenty to do for the price and more will be added.

Multiplayer is co op where you can invite friends to a game you or they host or there are dedicated servers you can play on.

You can also play solo. I am a solo player and having a blast with the game.
It's got a solid, I'd say, 30-60 hours if you play solo and don't look stuff up (and play on normal).

You can play single player, p2p multiplayer, or server multiplayer. Characters are saved to worlds and there isn't a transfer tool yet although one is in the works.

P2P multiplayer is up to 4 players with one of them hosting. There's no tether distance but the more areas that are loaded, the more it'll strain the hosts PC and possibly cause lag (irrelevant if they have a high end pc).

Server multiplayer is up to 32 players but is frankly really janky right now and the servers go down or get overloaded frequently and theres a lot of lag.

There is no PvP yet and the devs said they may add it at some point but that it won't be "lawless PvP" like you see in ark.

Thanks, That is great about running own servers. I actually have the hardware/bandwidth for it and might do that if I buy it. I have a small community so that will be a lot of fun. I'm also someone who does not just randomly flick the switch off.
