Why do people hate Palworld so much?
Yes, I understand that the gameplay is a little... Unethical, but people really think that putting your Pals to work (in a VIDEO GAME, which ISN'T REAL) makes you an animal abuser? Honestly, I would like someone with these opinions to explain their thought process to me.

In the case of people like Blizzard or Naughty Dog developers, I imagine it's jealousy.

For Pokemon fanboys, I imagine it's because they don't like competition.

For everyone else? Likely because they have nothing else going on in their lives.

In the case of journalists, well they are always outraged or pretending to be outraged to try and get clicks because they are desperate to remain relevant.

What are you talking about? Look at the Steam reviews. Look at all the people playing the game, it has surpassed almost every single other game on Steam. Does that look like a game that is hated?

What you're seeing is the typical, loud minority of people who needs to hate on something, and there is a brand new popular thing so they hate on it. Most of them are from Twitter and other cesspools of the internet. There is no thought process to explain, because there are no thoughts. You're asking the impossible. Just accept, that there are some people in this world who are so stupid that it is beyond your comprehension, and merely trying to rationalize them will drive you insane. That's all there's to it.

Now, go enjoy the game like the rest of the normal people

We just finished hearing for months how Harry Potter goblins are magically racist (but not he other hundred years of use, NEOPS!), these folks are fueled more by internet points than reality.

The best response you can have is to enjoy the game and shake off their trolling, that drives them f*cking nuts :)

There were accusations of the use of AI for the game (most likely for concept art if they actually did use it), mesh theft of actual Pokemon (Grintale has the exact same face as the Aloan Meowth), etc. I was kinda torn with this game based on the accusations but so far, there seems to be no actual evidence to back things up other than claims coming from people with an absolute vendetta against Palworld.

Stop empowering the ill evil minorities rofl.

Most people don't hate Palworld. It's only a VERY vocal minority of Pokemon fans, western gaming industry insiders, Anti-AI witch hunters and news media activists that have a vendetta against this game because it goes against the Status Quo.

Having those people explain their thought process assumes that they have their own thoughts on the subject.

everyone hates it? Judging by its popularity I doubt thats the case...personally I got bored with Pokemon in middle school when I was like 12....

It's not hatred, it's a mix of boredom and a lack of limits. These peoples both are bored af and don't care about sabotaging the experience for others. It's not only Palworld, it's anything popular, the Armored Core 6 forum was a mess too at launch, with the same kind of trolls mob.

It's annoying, but keep in mind it's temporary. Give it a few weeks and they'll grow bored of this too and just quit. For now, the players who like the game and want to share experiences on forums are busy playing, discovering the game. Once these ones will take back their place here, there will be way less space for trolls and they'll quit.

Haha, this. Nothing explains it better than trolls being trolls and idiots parroting whatever they last heard from their radical little group of irrelevant ignoramuses.

Honestly there's nothing in Palworld that isn't already in pokemon, except for the guns. I keep hearing that people are upset because because of animal abuse but I don't recall pokemon trainers ask for the permission of the wild pokemon they capture. And all the pokemon seem to have an ability to understand and communicate with people but people in the pokemon universe also eat pokemon so its not like they don't butcher them either.

Palworld is just seems more honest about all the things that happen in pokemon. I mean at least in Palworld you're actually in the line of fire. I'm sure Ash has taken a hit or two for Pikachu but how often do you really see a trainer taking a hit for their pokemon. I mean they have entire hospitals dedicated to the regular injuries pokemon sustain from battles.

Indeed, they just have their fun here and some weeks or months from now you'll find the exact same accounts, saying the exact same BS on another game's forum. I've already seen that for several launches, that kind of annoyance start to become a sort of custom I guess ... The bad kind of customs.

I hear that new Elden Ring DLC is coming. It'll be nice to see the trolls go back there to tear each other apart for a while. It's fun to watch, and there's an element of peace elsewhere on the interwebs.
