For Pokemon fanboys, I imagine it's because they don't like competition.
For everyone else? Likely because they have nothing else going on in their lives.
In the case of journalists, well they are always outraged or pretending to be outraged to try and get clicks because they are desperate to remain relevant.
What you're seeing is the typical, loud minority of people who needs to hate on something, and there is a brand new popular thing so they hate on it. Most of them are from Twitter and other cesspools of the internet. There is no thought process to explain, because there are no thoughts. You're asking the impossible. Just accept, that there are some people in this world who are so stupid that it is beyond your comprehension, and merely trying to rationalize them will drive you insane. That's all there's to it.
Now, go enjoy the game like the rest of the normal people
cant blame them either, its pretty lucrative
The best response you can have is to enjoy the game and shake off their trolling, that drives them f*cking nuts :)
Stop empowering the ill evil minorities rofl.
everyone hates it? Judging by its popularity I doubt thats the case...personally I got bored with Pokemon in middle school when I was like 12....
It's annoying, but keep in mind it's temporary. Give it a few weeks and they'll grow bored of this too and just quit. For now, the players who like the game and want to share experiences on forums are busy playing, discovering the game. Once these ones will take back their place here, there will be way less space for trolls and they'll quit.
Palworld is just seems more honest about all the things that happen in pokemon. I mean at least in Palworld you're actually in the line of fire. I'm sure Ash has taken a hit or two for Pikachu but how often do you really see a trainer taking a hit for their pokemon. I mean they have entire hospitals dedicated to the regular injuries pokemon sustain from battles.
Indeed, they just have their fun here and some weeks or months from now you'll find the exact same accounts, saying the exact same BS on another game's forum. I've already seen that for several launches, that kind of annoyance start to become a sort of custom I guess ... The bad kind of customs.
I hear that new Elden Ring DLC is coming. It'll be nice to see the trolls go back there to tear each other apart for a while. It's fun to watch, and there's an element of peace elsewhere on the interwebs.
