Private Servers??
Can you create your own private server? and also how many players can play in one server?
I've been seeing you can only have 4 players and some sites saying it's 32 player in one server so which on is it?

Just what I came to find out, Hope this isn't online only. I want to be able to host my own server with only my friends present in my own game.

So this should be like Valheim? Like we host our own server?

Maybe, but the dev is mentioning it in the Early Access info box on the store page. So you won't get better info than this.

4 peep co-op, 32 peep was only mentioned to be dedicated server side, dunno if you can make your own servers with that capacity.

Sounds like from their FAQ, we'll be able to create our own 32p servers.

"[How does multiplayer work in Palworld?]

You can play Palworld with up to 3 friends by simply starting a multiplayer game and inviting them (4-player co-op). Beyond this, you can create a dedicated server, which will allow for up to 32 players to play in the same world and create guilds together. We will provide the tools to create these servers yourself at launch."

So do you need to rent a 3rd party dedicated server in order to do 32 players? or can you host your own P2P 32 player server without having to rent out from 3rd party?

Ok so idk if people didn't read or just didn't understand but you'll either be able to host your singleplayer worlds as co-op with you and your friends OR you can host your own dedicated server which you can restrict to only allowing your friends to join if so desired

Well the confusing part of the official post is that i don't see the difference in hosting a coop server or 32 player private server because it's peer 2 peer connection. But when i see the word "dedicated" i'm assuming that you'll have to rent out a server from a 3rd party source and i've seen that palworld already got 3rd party servers ready to rent out. But i guess it's all just a misunderstanding from my side.

dedicated just means its a server software you run seperately.

thats basically what most sever hosters do. they make it easyer for many people to set this stuff up.

but you can run your own server on a pc at home (if you have a strong pc even while playing the game on the same machine) for many games (TF2, L4D etc)

go to your steam library, in the upper left corner pull the menu down. theres something called Tools. thats where the server and modding stuff for your games is hiding

No it's not a misunderstanding, either: 'you can host you singleplayer world in co-op with up to 3 other people' OR 'you can rent(or just create if you know how to do so) a server for up to 32 people', if you understand now I'm going to be confused cause I literally just repeated the exact same thing as well as you repeated mostly the same thing I did initially
