Moving base items?
Is there a mechanic where I can move base buildings from where they were originally place to a new location or is that something that hasn't been implemented yet?

Moving buildings without first breaking them isn't implemented. You can still deconstruct and get 100% return though.

Took me like 10 minutes to break and move a shoddy bed because I found that the slanted ceiling didn't count as a roof.

It definitely does count as a roof? I've had no issues using them without the flat ones.
