When you do a bit of expanded of the main building (I've done that like 4 times), you might find that one spot is just too low to place a foundation. A pillar would be nice to have for support in those cases.
There are lots of flat spots, I know, but at the same time, not all of those have good resources and some smaller flat spots do. You can flatten them with foundations, but only so far when the game doesn't have pillars.
We are 3 ppl in the same guild and we can only have 3 bases. We kinda want a base on our own cus theres always someone taking the mats and be like "where are the mats? I just farmed them".
its also damn hard if you use big pals in your base cus they tend to get stuck at stuff or while sleeping/working due to the beds or workspaces being too close to eachother. It was prob intended for small pals in the base but not when you use like 15x Jormuntide (just as size example)
