I play single player and never had issues
1) you play on PC or Lap?
2) WiFi or Cable?
3) Do you have anything else running on background? (in case you have more than one screen)
4) Before having this issue did you update any Windows or Graphic Card? (There is an issue with NVIDIA's December update patch that causes games/ videos / PCs issues, I had it and I had to backroll it to November update patch)
5) Did you increase any settings from you Graphic Card System? (increasing settings for better gaming and such)
6) Do you share the internet with others in your house (in case of WiFi I suppose)
7) Lastly, did you put the MP in the game's setting at OFF? (if no then do that)
It is strange though because playing single game shouldn't create you any issues. Try playing offline (as others said that you can play the game offline too, I didn't check it) to see if you see any differences before checking all the above.
Edit: Oh and I forgot to ask you what specs you have?
2) cable
3) no
4) yes all
5) no
6) no
7) what are they "mp" ?
and i have a RTX 3060, i7 9700, ram 16go
7) MP is for the Multiplayer, if in case you have it ON in the game settings, put it to OFF
and...yeah I can't think of anything else until devs post more fixes
