Can someone briefly explain how good this game is as a collective survival multiplayer game?

I think it's only the number 1 game when it comes to concurrent players within the first 24 hours (which is still impressive). The number 1 for most concurrent players at any time was over 3 million players I believe.

Gamepass uses its own launcher instead of steam. so obviously steam doesn't count those players. This game is also most watched category on twitch so i think those numbers are legit.

Game is overhyped and overrated like crazy but if you love open world survival craft you definitely get your moneys worth. I would give it a solid 70 at the moment.

....my goodness. The amount of stupid confidently on display around here is astounding. Its a good game, especially for day 1 EA. Is it the best game of all time? Ah... no. Not even close.

It's an oversimplification of course, but basically this game is a light version of Ark that looks like Fortnite and has creatures and mechanics heavily inspired by Pokemon.

You can play it with friends and it performs well enough for the initial reviews to not get tanked by performance issue negative reviews.

How good is it compared to other survival multiplayer games that have been out for years? Not very well when it comes to endgame. But for a first build in Early Access, it's got a respectable foundation in place.

1. Gamepass is an entirely different platform, and doesn't impact steams metrics.

gamepass people cant even play with steam people, at least not yet, gamepass are always behind on update for their games compared to steam

This game must be going nuts in Japan and China. The player peak at 1.8mil was 10pm over there.
