Would a GTX 780 be enough to run it?
It's better than a 1050, but I get if there isn't driver support for it. Mostly just curious. Thanks.

Well, I looked into a bit and the 780 still launches fortnite in 2023 which is ue5 now. So I see no reason it shouldn't launch. Since this game uses Ue5 as well.

Though you mentioned you'd be upgrading anyway so the point is moot. ~~

But the 1050 has full directX 12 support, where the 780 only supports 11.1

It could easily still launch but I can't guarantee it. Buy to check. Refund if not.

not to mention an additional gig of vram. i think in terms of horsepower OP might be able to run it so long as they are conservative with their settings but the 3gigs of vram will ultimately be the deciding factor

Palworld - Testing Indicates Even Modern Hardware Struggles with the Game's Performance; NVIDIA Graphics Cards Outperform AMD

Dude still has GTX 760 xD even 1080Ti is an ancient GPU at this point... You are rocking a historic relic in your PC that aint worth 10 bucks on eBay anymore... You gotta upgrade every 2 years to just add a bit of new money and resell your components for profit, not neglect your PC for 16 years xD

780 works surprisingly well. Not great of course. I'm consistently between 30-50fps on medium with the card paired with Intel 3770 and 16gb RAM. I could only get it to launch correctly rolling back to July 2021 driver, don't have the driver version offhand but can post later what it is. If you have PC gamepass or a trial available download there and see if it plays. I was able to launch on gamepass without any driver problems.

Cool, thanks! I'm inclined to try that, I'm too impatient to wait for my upgrade :)
Let me know if you figure out the driver version <3

Hope this helps someone who also built a sibling a "gaming" pc to mostly run roblox. Lil buddy wanted to play palworld on his computer with a GTX780. It would hang on black screen and not launch. Had to add this to launch options. Plays buttery smooth now. Old card is holding up better than I expected. Got me started out, cool to see it still working well 10 years later.

Add that to launch options and enjoy catching pals.

I mean a 80 series is generally a good card. But by the time my 8 year old pc's 750/760 died. It was lighting on fire playing overwatch 2 vs 1.

I'd say, if the fan seems to work fine, try it. I think steam might have a under 2 hr return policy or something but better to err on caution. It's majorly below specs and my other card died.

Even if it runs fine, it's probably a old card with little to no modern support. But it sounds like the person above might have gotten it working.

I mean a 80 series is still a good /better series card. According to GPU benchmarks, with gpu creep it should be somewhere around a modern 1650 in performance today. About 3x weaker than a 4060ti+, but still rather decent enough to try to chug low/medium hopefully fine.

I'd trust the user trying it though. As the game has more development time, hopefully it might be able to be optimized further, but right now i hear it's apparently ram heavy.

That actually worked! Thank you. What does the command do?

I felt like the game was running smooth..! But I'll definitely upgrade soon since the graphics weren't the best at low/medium settings.

Your pc wont run this PERIOD.
If you are ok with below 20 fps go for it.
Of course you can still run 2d and other low busget indie games, this game tough is unoptimized and your system is subpar.
can it run osu!
