I want to dismantle my first base but will all the resources of that base get pulled into my inventory or just deleted
I found a better spot in the cliffs which is currently unreachable by raids and i want to make that one by main base

Most of the stuff will blow up, when I deleted mine all the beds and chests remained.

Wouldn't you have to slowly dismantle every individual part? You wouldn't be able to move very fast without getting the second base location and fast traveling back and forth

Avoid cliffs dude. Just telling you now that pals have terrible path finding and your workers are all gonna fall off.

Find a big flat spot for your main base.

Just put up your second base location and take everything apart and ferry to new base via the terminal, its a teleport point. Its not going to destroy most things like structures when you delete your pal box but it will make moving a pain.

Also if you decide to build a wall give yourself space outside the blue base line or your pals will spawn outside it. A good ten foot or so helps a lot.

And beware cliffs, water, or lava, pals are not good at recognizing hazards.

I built on the top of a mountain because it was full of ore and coal.

They all seem fine days later.

All your stuff will dismantle itself and remain on the ground to pick up. Even the stuff inside the chests will just stay on the ground.

Yeah super regret setting up shop on those ruins below the starting fast travel and wish I had set up a bit further away. Now i cant deploy a few larger structures.

Two solutions, allow a base relocate, which might not be possible, or, every base upgrade, extend the base perimeter a bit.

During raids half of mine would fall off a cliff trying to kill the attackers.

And after logging out for the night I would come back and lots of them would be missing. Are you playing single player or multiplayer?

Pro tip as someone who's relocated my main base across the entire map several times. Build a chest by your base portal. Ferry all the stone and wood to it as you slowly dismantle the base. (Only the buildings that require the main building will auto dismantle, any decorations/chests etc will remain).

When you eventually reach your weight limit carrying material closer to your portal (I'm looking at you wood/stone!) don't split the stacks. Get comfortable picking up and dropping the entire 1000x+ stacks. It's quicker to drop the stack, move a few feet pick up the stack again and drop it, rinse repeat until you get to your teleporter. Drop it all near it or in a box. (Keep in mind there is an item limit for the entire world before the game starts despawning them, hence why I recommend building a chest right there and dropping them in there). When you get time that all objects are dismantled and collected in a big pile or in the box. Then its just the matter of teleporting back and forth and dropping the supplies at the new base's box/storage.

If you try split stacking everything and take multiple trips walking back in forth instead of just porting back and forth without moving, depending on your base... it could take hours depending on your max weight limit. Save yourself the headache and do the leg work of dropping the stack and shuffling forward a few feet. If you had a short attention span, you won't be tempted by some random distraction and hopefully will have an easier time in case of raids to dropping the 1 1000x stack of wood to be able to move around during fights.

In this same regard, build away from water. Had a few drown not noticing them stuck off a short ledge in some pool I first built my base at. Or their beds along the edge of the water, they'd wake up and immediately drop down into the water in the process. If they're 4 legged that have a hard time getting up that ledge. 2 legged do better with that kind of thing but still it saved so much headache just moving the base to a nice flat location and moving anything they interact with away from water/cliffs/rocks/walls. Give space all around from all sides. Don't forget vertical clearance as well. If the pal is tall, have at least 2 wall heights of clearance. Had a couple starve to death on me since they apparently couldn't duck or slouch a bit to find the food they were begging for.
