Cant build a staircase

Cant build a staircase even with a wall floor and roof as connection, it keep telling me it need to be connected to a structure. If anyone can provide SS of how its done, Thank You.

You need a foundation

You gotta build a foundation, then I do a wall, even if it's temporary, so I can target the top of it for the staircase

Some peices require directional placement of snap points. Build system could use some improvements.

Yeah the building is jank right now. What drives me nuts is roofs.. You gotta do some tweaking just to get those damn things to go up.

Use slanted rooves instead. Rather than a staircase, you get a ramp.

This is more frustrating to put up in my case. It just staying red.
