Yo sorry I was told wrong I thought digimon came out first but pokemon did by 1 year they were mad close compatibly but they are pretty different concepts with how they go about the mons and characters
Some subsets of Pokemon fans are just so delusional they'll foam at the mouth attacking anyone else they think is taking any form of inspiration from a multi billion dollar corporation.
Terminally online weirdos.
This is why I prefer looking at Pokemon fancontent and such instead of interacting with the fandom.
Nutjobs like that are one of several groups of vocal minority in the community that are so overwhelmingly vocal it's unbearable.
Digimon:1997
Megaten 1 released 1987.
Pokemon was years away from being the first. This is why it is utterly infuriating seeing Pokemon stans attack other franchises, ESPECIALLY dragon Quest and Megaten/SMT/Persona, Nintendo Direct livestream chat during trailers for SMTV were some of the most insufferable cancerous messes I have seen, toxic children raging claiming it was a Persona/Pokemon/Undertale ripoff when it fathered all 3 of those franchises in different ways.
Skimming so didn't bother to do this myself. I get feeling most kids in here, and spreading that, aren't old enough to know what a tamagotchi is, let alone have owned one of any kind growing up. If really wanna strain my brain, some ish' a youtuber said one day now taken as fact xD
Everyone knew this back in the day and were fine with it. So it's kind of Ironic watching Pokemon fans lose their mind over pal world.
oh also looking at those sales numbers, active players and the fact Nintendo officially responded id say palworld lives in there head rent free they clearly cant sue on anything cause they would of already done it as Japan were BOTH companies are based has 0 fair use lmao
