depending on your laptop there probably is a battery safer software installed wich usualy does 2 things
1) does not charge the battery to maximum
2) occasionaly let the battery drain and reload it to extend the life cycle of the battery.
general information
having a battery compleltly emptied or constantly fully loaded for long periods of time is bad for the batterys lifecycle.
there potentialy other reasons for this happening thats just the usualy most common.
In Palworld case, there is a draw of power from cpu/gpu higher than normal.
Maybe this create some problems with laptop?
as mentioned, did you try capping the fps?
hm, wish i could take a look at what's going on when you're running it.
i can also say the full set of graphic / performance options is not built in yet, they still have to make buttons in the ui and probably test them too.
i am not doing anything illegal with the executable i swear >.> i'm just excited ok
do these steps:
1) set graphics to low on everything
2) turn on frame limit
why? becuz games are consume a lot of power and if your laptop is very powerful lets just say that's how the cookie crumbles
also check that the battery is not hot, as that might be a safety mechanism to prevent damage lol.
tldr: gaming laptops are pita
