Dealing with the dark / Change brightness..?
How?

I want desperately to enjoy this game, and mostly have, except every night cycle.
How do you deal with this nonsense? Its basically stop playing and afk, or stop playing and return to a base to click on the bed.

Is it really meant to be so damn dark you cant play? I dont get this ♥♥♥♥.

I have a busy life and there's always light on in my house, dark game settings are hard enough because of it but this is especially absurd right?

So heres my problem. They implemented day and night and its my assumption different things should spawn at night yah? Why did they make dark so dark its unplayable then?

For the people that have been playing for a while and suddenly got this bug, here's a guide:

Basically, just create a new world, enter and reach the first teleport, check that the lighting is back to the normal, if so, go back to your main save and it should be fixed.
There's a comparison image in the guide.

Fire pal with you always.
Not only do they throw out light but as much warmth as a torch.

As to the light not working in mine shafts this is a bug. From just inside the entrance to halfway across the inner room where the black marketeer usually sits NO lights work.

They make lighting necessary. how many games have you played where u get a torch but dont use it ever? i have played alot. craft the lantern around lvl 20 and you will have good light even in the dark.

set your night cycle to minimum

I honestly don't have dark nights, but to tell the truth im also using HDR enabled so that can be why? another thing can be that you need to calibrate your screen, that actually make a good difference if you did not do it before.
