Safe haven for protected pals

So I found this Wildlife Sanctuary and there are some pals exclusive to this sanctuary. It's supposed to be their "safe haven" since there are some NPC with guns in that area to protect them and it's considered a "criminal activity" just being in that area.

So I though "aww how nice of the devs to include this in the game.

Then I remember some post of concerned people saying "this game is too cruel" or "how can you sleep at night having killed animals", so I did what any sane minded person would do.

I captured a Grizzbolt and butchered it in his sanctuary.

10/10 would poach again.

I dont understand people saying these are defenseless animals. My lifmunk literally has an uzi, my sheep can get gatling guns, my panda has a grenade launcher. How are these defenseless?

They ate all of the humans that got shipwrecked.

The only Pals I've slaughter were humans and that was a test. I honestly font see a point in the butcher option when there are more in the wild or you can keep a goof food source via ranch and farming.

Unless there is some special items you only get witch butchering it seems like a waste.

Butchering is nothing how abut changing palls in to fluid pump to same type to bosst other pall i had bossted Lifmunk to 4 stars and liqufaing 200 what is killing 200 lifmuks one bosted is lucky one.

I just started using that thing and honestly Im not sure if I will keep using it. Seems so wasteful.

Butchering is useful if you need ancient tech. Butcher a useless boss you've captured and it will drop ancient tech. Sometimes the loot can bug and just disappear under the ground though.
