Durability ???
Is there a way to tweak it ? I feel like armors are especially WAY too weak !
Just did a fight against 4 wolves level 8-10, my new epic armor is down to 480 / 540 already ?!

Yeah, durability is a joke, tools lose 1 durability per swing, and I would not be surprised if somehow armor works the same way, where 8 damage = 8 durability lost.

Yeah bugs aside there are quite a number of balance issues that need to be addressed...but right now with the troll union out in full effect posting anything meaningful will just be buried

My biggest complaint is the Armor durability is way too weak on Hard mode. You lose the entire armor after a few hits, head armor goes first then the body armor after a few more.

Plus things like Uncommon Cloth Armor require Ancient Civilization Parts to craft and repair. At least drop the repair requirement down to only Cloth.

Finally i'm not the only one bothered by this repairing feature !

Besides the dura, one thing shocked me :

The hunger lost by the pet you are mounting when attacking ! Each attack used removes a DECENT chunk of hunger, which results in feeding the pet over and over .. I feel like grinding too much food only to enjoy riding and exploring ..

Agreed. Armor breaks so quickly it's definitely annoying having to repair it so often.

Hopefully later down the line we'll be able to adjust durability in the world settings menu (or even turn it off entirely). They already have plenty of world customization options, so having an option/slider for durability too would be nice.

this Would be nice. I don't even play on hard mode and durability is still bad. I can't imagine how bad it is on hard mode.

Yeah, that needs to be fixed. Right now it'll only get buried, like Zero Proximity said.

I made an armor that required EIGHTY metal, it broke extremely fast and the repair cost is TWENTY SEVEN metal

I think the keypoint here is they cost the same amount to mats to repair, so this is a mechanic to promote upgrading

For example the metal axe does double damage and has double durability over the stone axe, this is an x4 durability increase.

Use the shields. Armour doesn't take damage as long as you have shield up when being hit.

I have gone thru many fights with no armour durability loss at all.

Armor is a failsafe to not be one shot. It's not meant to be tanked. This is a game like Elden Ring where dodge has iframes. You're supposed to roll to avoid attacks, not tank them onto your armor. Your armor's durability will never go down if you don't get hit or if only your shield gets hit. Dodge roll till your shield recovers and you're fine.

Again, armor is the last resort that stops you from ending the fight because of a bad hit from a monster ATK rating. It should very rarely lose durability at all. If you're losing a lot of durability or breaking during a fight, you're getting hit way more than you should be.

durability seems to not be an issue till you start using tools for gathering and breaking them after around 1000 units of ore.

Use Lily's spear for logging and mining, it fixes itself on punishing few human foes and its damage/ mining / logging proficiency is based on how well your pals are doing, or so I've heard.

As for getting hit and losing armor durability as result, learn to dodge and use the environment to your advantage, some skills get blocked by the trees, some by solid objects that can't be broken or damaged, there are only few skills that pass through everything, so don't just stand there like a chump and get hit.

As for weapons not lasting long, you're playing the game wrong, the weapons are your support tools, the main damage dealers are the pals, you're there just to juggle between their cooldowns. :D
