Steam deck crashes

Let me start by saying what a great time me and my friends are having playing this game but I consistently find myself crashing and having to hard restart my deck after 1-2 hours of gameplay not quite sure what the problem is and is there a solution?

Same thing happening here. At least for me this seems to be happening when autosaving (maybe while moving?)

My steam deck tends to do fine for a while, especially if I'm not moving. But then sometimes (usually) when I'm travelling it will just grind to like 5fps. I can usually fix this with a restart. Every now and then it will just crash or freeze.

Memory limitations? Not sure of its specs. But a relog once an hour might avoid the crash.

I have the same problem every 1-2 hours. I've checked Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED. This problem appears on both devices

If I leave game to title menu and go back - "timer" is restarted. But it's not a solution to log-out - log-in every 1 hour

Have the same Problem. I thought it may be the RAM, as the Game is a RAM Hog, it already starts using 11Gb, and then the load just increases, it NEVER decreases.
Even if this may not be the Root for our Problem, it appears that this game has a Memory leak and bloats up the RAM.

Other than that, for me on my Steam Deck it also crashes all the time, which is a shame as this Game, atleast on the lowest possible Settings and at max 30-40 FPS, it does run. And i liked played it on the Deck.
Meanwhile, on my Desktop PC and Laptop, crashes never appear and also the Performance is by far better. Not sure why tho. :/

I also have the same problem (Steam Deck OLED 1TB). Hopefully this thread become more hits and the devs could fix the problem. It runs really good with 30 fps locked.

Don't rely on steam threads. Press ESC in game and report the feedback there

*update* apparently someone made a mod on nexus to help with performance on the steam deck to stop its issues not sure if it’s that great but I’ve only seen good things so far https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/27/?tab=description

It freezes every ten or dozens of minutes and has to be forced to restart. I love this game, but it really ruins the gaming experience, and I don’t want to play on the computer :(

Short update on my issue: I reached out to valve and they told me to send the 2 weeks old sd back to them and it will replaced. So in my special case, it was a faulty hardware.

Do you Guys still have Problems with crashes? I saw that the Devs made 2 Updates since this Post and i wasnt able so far to try the Game again on the Deck.

I installed the nexus mod linked above and stopped having issues

Still crashing as of this morning, Feb 4
