ive only really encountered one small village, are there any other towns people have found with some better venders?

There's one in the desert in the northeast, it's got some higher level stuff for purchase.

To be specific, the desert town sells a musket... and all the ammo types... and several helmet/hat blueprints... and even has a decently good, but expensive pal merchant. There are others in various biomes, but they are kinda hard to find.
