Pokemon mod released?!

Wow, ive just read theres already a pokemon mod, with a gameplay video and all.

Im just sharing the article and not even the mod or video as I dont want to be related with any possible legal issues xdd.

But pokemon players will enjoy it, and others like me will have more controversy stuff to be distracted with.

Now yes, pokemon lawyers may have some ground (against the mod author at least)

Interesting comment! I dont really know, but a quick google search said otherwise:

"Fair Use is used to argue that certain infringement is OK because it is, say, educational, satirical, or non-commercial. A mod, free or not, would still involve a modder's use of copyrighted material to create a derivative work, and would most likely be outside of Fair Use's scope"

So id say its risky.

If I owned the game I would feel safer without pokemon mods xD I dont think Nintendo can do anything vs Palworld, its possible use of derivative AI or not etc...but if you look at the pokemon mod trailer, its very provoking, copyright wise... XD

They can't kill the game because of a mod.

Another article throws some details on it:

"This mod appears to have been inserted into the game through a backdoor in the code, even though Pocket Pair has not yet released official mod support and the mod is unapproved."

Interesting nonetheless. Also lil bit fishy its a youtuber saying they will show more etc but no link, maybe just vaporware / video editting for subs?

We will see. The gameplay video is impacting tho xd

wow guys i think this is really cool and i want to share it. So im not going to share it with you guys, Ill only dip my toes in the water in case i get in trouble for sharing this with you guys. Which is definitely what im not doing im only bringing it to you guys attention. God society is soft and tip toey. If we all get in trouble for someone sharing this mod im ratting you out as the one that shared it all with me.
