Ore Farming
Hey all! I recently made a base will alot of ore nodes in it but for some reason none of my miners will actually mine them. I tried different ores but they will continually just farm the stone pit. Anyone have an idea why my miners wont farm the ore? Any advice appreciated. Thanks all!

I found out that: All of my Miners that have the ability at Level 1 can only mine Stone
And all of the Miners that have said ability at Level 2 or higher, can mine the ores
So unless your miners have mining level 2, they cannot mine ores

It seems that the stone pit may have a higher work priority than "wild" ore nodes. Highly recommend setting up a dedicated ore base with just a few berry fields, beds, a box, and food bowl. They'll go ham on the ore nodes.

I have tried a level 1 and level 3 miner but both no luck. Who are some that you have used? I tried with digtross already.

I use tombats to automine ore and carry to a box. They do the job admirably.

You can assign your miners to ore manually, but it`s gonna get annoying real quick.

So far all of my miners are either: Pengking or Mammorest, I have yet to capture a Digtoise army

Get a Digtoise and then level up tech for his headband.

Found the same issue. The pals just stick with the stone pit. Dedicated ore base doesnt work as well because I’m in single player. They will just stop when I am not nearby. Any solution pls?

This detail never even occurred to me. Do bases "shut down" if you move far enough away?

That's probably why i can't get my ore farming base running properly.

Im pretty sure they do keep going. At the moment my wood/stone pit usually doesnt get abouve 40-50 before it gets transferred out, but when i go out exploring for several days ill come back to a stack of 5-600 or more. A lot of times theres a large pile of uncollected mats in my ranch too
