Does it run okay on steam deck?
My partner and I want to play, but we mostly play on our deck when together. Have anyone tried co-op on the steam deck? Or really on the steam deck in general?

Hey, i play Palworld only on steam deck, solo, 20+hours, overall it runs very well for me, just need to down some graphics (i set draw distance on medium and shadows on low) and now it runs at 30+- FPS with no problem. Only bad thing is that, game will freeze randomly (mostly in dungeons) every 2 hour and when you boot it up again, setting are reset to default so need to adjust it again, but i believe few patches and optimization can easy fix this problems on deck and the game is actually very good steam deck
Having some major issues myself with the deck, as well as many others with the same exact issues per some reddit posts and a post here.

I crash 100% with Every dungeon I load into. fast travel seems 50/50. If you turn and change your FOV and there happens to be a syndicate group fighting some stuff? - crash.
Have to Hard reset the deck and then everything is running slow - even just steam itself navigating through menus etc.

When I'm around my base things seem ok, even with all of the monsters and extra buildings etc around, but most of my issues come from exploring and when there are multiple mobs on the screen.

Once it crashes the first time, they seem to start happening more frequently. I gave up after my 10th crash last night =(

okay, I think we'll wait on better optimizations first. Thanks!

Imagine playing games with crappy hand consoles.

It runs fine enough. The main issue you'll encounter is a memory leak, resulting in hard crashes.

If you're just exploring the world or building at your base, quit to the title and reload your save every hour-ish. This will refresh the server (even if you're offline), preventing the crash. About to go into a dungeon? Quit and reload. About to fight a boss? Quit and reload. Just finished doing those things? Quit and reload before you go exploring.

May sound annoying, but your save will load in less than 10 seconds. Just constantly refreshing your world/server prevents the crash from the memory leak.

Now, if you're just joining someone else's server/world, you shouldn't have this issue. It only applies to those hosting a server/world (playing solo/offline counts as hosting a server/world).
