Non Stop Damage For No Reason

I have no idea why/how this started but my character is constantly taking damage for no reason. No status effects, full hunger, no enemies around, I should be fine. Once my character dies from this damage, buttons no longer work and I have to ALT TAB and force close the game. Forcing my character to die (using "Respawn" or letting enemies kill me) does not solve the problem; my character will continue to take damage after respawning at full health.
Note: It randomly stopped on it's own after a raid started. Also once I got it to stop by putting all my items into a chest but that only worked once. The problem keeps coming back. Please help!

I'm not cold or hot my temp and armor are fine. Definitely not temp related.

One temporary fix I've found is if everyone on the server sleeps it stops the degen for some time.
However.... this bug is so strange. The degening starts up randomly so when going offline my character will inevitably start degening at some point. Every time I come back online now my character has died and I have to go loot my stuff. Lol, I start dying while I'm offline...

I had that issue. Was farming ore, jumped on my mount but it was not working. Alt+F4 and back in game, my character was doubled like a mannequin. Each night the mannequin will receive damage and the damage is transfered to my player char. Restart of the server helped me (or just skip the night with a bed.)

same thing is happening to me

same here taking dmg and get down, can still move arround, no timer, acces boxes is possible
if i restart the game i take dmg until i die

nothing helped:
restart
death
porting
check game files for error in steam
reinstallation
...

happend after a dungeon, normal finished and left though exit gate then it startet

Hey jo Slitty and all the guys, one of my mates did have the same problem today, we tryd everything but nothing worken at first, than we restarted our server and the bug was fixxed.

Hope it works for some of u guys as well.

BTW restarting the server (If its on a server) will fix this issue. Had the same issue

I encountered this, here's my theory.

I was mining ore in full heat resist gear near the volcano. Relatively quiet spot, safe from pals. I fell through the map, got stuck, admin kicked me as I was unable to log out properly. I reset my game, came back and my double was standing there. (Insert spider man meme.) Thought nothing of it, went about my business.

About an hour later I found a Life pendant in a chest. I was curious to see how much life it gave me, so I removed my heat resistant shirt as I was in a cold area. I put the pendant on, thought neat! and put my shirt back on. Apparently my double did not. It had kept the gear on I had been wearing until I switched the shirt. Suddenly I was taking heat damage. Even putting the shirt back on didn't help.

so if possible, reset your servers to fix this, if not alert admin so they can. but removing your double is the only way to fix this apparently.

i have this issue right now, but the admin is nowhere to be found.. ill quess i have to wait until he comes online.. but good to see im not the only one with this problem, so it can be fixed, and hope palword fix this
