resource respawning in base

I know resources like ore and trees still respawn in your base radius but will they still spawn even if built over?

Yes they do respawn.
Try to avoid putting the Stone farm if you want to mine ore. (same for trees if you don't want to assign a pal to use the crusher for fibers)
Work priority isn't very good, they will mostly farm the infinite stone rather than the limited ore

the way to get around that is to have more miners. seems the inf stone has a limit to how many can be mining it at once (never see more than two whacking away), so get a third miner and that one should go whacking at the ore

*edit: I saw 3 guys mining, but the 4th miner helped me with the ore. between the break times and feedings though, you will probably be the one doing the bulk of the mining. Since it is in your base though, you can mine the whole rock and drop the ore. Your transport Pals will do haul it to the nearest chest

In my experience dropping a base disables spawn in the area... but to be totally upfront I have not tried this in a human NPC camp.

foundations do prevent resource respawning in the area of the foundation. might get a tree respawn through the foundation a time or two before it kicks in though

I build around some ores (not on top) does this prevent the respawn?, (the ores are in the ranch radius)

No. Only building directly ontop of the spawn will stop it. But that includes pretty much any object. The palbox, chests, torches, pal beds, etc. If you put any of those items directly over a tree, ore, stone, coal spawn.. it won't respawn anymore

recently learned that for some reason berry bushes are exempt from this, you can build anything over them and while theyll disappear initially theyll grow back and can even still be picked through floors and such, if building near them remember to build high foundations and to give your pals other tasks if you dont want them gathering from the bushes constantly

Resources will respawn in a base. They will not respawn if one of your buildings is in the way.

I stuck a pal bed on a tree and it didn't seem to come back unless removed
