Totally by accident, but it was Foxspark. Believe it or not, that thing is my heavy hitter pal and was capable of soloing one of the bosses.

Loupmoon: caught a boss version in a dungeon. I just love the way it looks. Kinda fragile though, but with enough upgrade investment, it seems anything can be quite good.
Generally most of the dark types in the game look amazing.
Really like quivern as well, however, but haven't tested its usefulness.

If you fiddle with the stamina drain to reduce it significantly, basically any Pal you can fly with. My current one is Nitewing (think that's the name): it's at a high enough level that one of the moves got replaced with a lobbed explosive, which is fun to drop on a clumped group of Syndicate or Free PAL punks from above.
