work may be the greatest place in the world but youll still want your days off. swap out your pals occasionally. award them sick days and use meds on them if needed.

Are they getting stuck? If they're stuck they can't eat or sleep or rest. Do you have working conditions set to humane or brutal?

This isn't a thing. You can have the same ones work forever if it's set up properly

They only eat the 1st thing on the left.

so if they only eat berries does that upset them?

If you have a watch tower (i believe that's what it's called) make certain their work speed is set to normal. The building allows you to set them to three different working states. You also need to have beds for them to sleep in. Make sure the amount of beds created match the number of pals working on the base.

they all have beds, they are not sick or hurt.. I have not built a watchtower I will try that and see if that helps thanks

also if you unlocked the hot spring, make 2. My pals got annoyed because it was occupied constantly

If you have 10+ pals working your base you might also need more than the single required hot spring to keep them happy. Higher quality beds will also provide pals with faster SAN recovery during the night, though it takes a while to unlock those.

oh thanks that could be it I have 12 in the base. thanks for the info =)

I dunno what to tell you. I have 12 pals in my base. I only feed them berries. I only have 1 hot tub. They are "in good condition" 24/7 with no maintenance. I just run two berry farms and it takes care of itself

It's almost always pathing. The AI pathing in this game is really bad, I've watched Pal's of various sizes get stuck in the tree's from the logging tile until they starve and KO.

The statue of power is a common culprit for tombats for some reason. I already put it out of the way and they still find new ways to get stuck on top of it.

Sometimes just putting them in the box and out quickly will reset them to happy again

Can they all reach their beds? Try waiting for nightfall and see if they can. I stacked my beds and they couldn't reach the far ones.

From what I understood if you use pals who have more "bread" in their hunger description, they require better food. So far the solution I found is to grow berries + wheat and make toasts with jam that restore a decent amount of sanity. Basic berries don't restore sanity, cooked berries only restore 1 which is not enough.
