I think the argument that this game rips off of Pokemon is dumb, you'd have to throw the same tantrum over digimon and any other show/game that involves capturing creatures. It's funny because digimon was sort of like Pokemon with guns too and no one seemed to being flipping a tit as hard then as they are now. Me personally, I just want to know what the issue is because personally...

Why shouldn't these small creatures have guns? Why shouldn't we be able to kill and butcher them? Why shouldn't i be able to weaken a pal myself instead of pray my other pal doesn't just erase it from the ground it walks on?

I think everyone's looking at this the wrong way. I think instead of gamefreak retaliating, they should just make there games better??? Take Arceus for example, they where the first to do an openworld in such a way that palworld does, but they dropped the ball hard. Why couldn't we have pokemon build a base? Why couldn't we utilize them more than just to fight eachother? I'm hearing the PETA argument but atleast in palworld the creatures don't exist soley for pit fighting. (It's funny because apparently arceus takes place in like, the beginning of human-pokemon interaction. You can't come up with a better setting to justify base building...)

I just think going forward every pokemon game should have slavery and guns idk it didn't come from me.
