Is there a way to make Pals work specific jobs?

I am trying to set up a Ore mining base.

Is there a way for me to set up a Stone Pit, but ban my Digtoise from working in it?

I want my lesser Pals producing stone for construction, but my Digtoise focusing on working on mining Ore.

Pick up your "employee" by walking up to it and pressing the "f" key and then throw them at the job you want them to prioritise

EDIT: you can't BAN a Pal from working a job though

In my honest opinion don't use a Digtoise in your pal base for mining. They suck, only doing 1 damage and your better off using something like a tombat. That said, if you have the Digtoise pal equipment, they are the best miner when in your party, doing around 20 damage normally to a node, and 20-30 when you activate their skill.
