if you want to join any coop game you start from lvl 1 again?

Yes, you will start at Level 1. Your character data is tied to the server.

Have you all considered sticking to one server? It wouldn't be terrible to have legacy servers that let you start from the highest character level you've achieved, though.

you do you. i simply don't have the time or patience to start over after some time in single player JUST to play with my partner. some people.

Just learned that today and it's gay. The game is NOT co-op friendly. Any friends you join or join you will have to start from scratch. It's actually the dumbest thing I've seen.

Personally, I don't mind the resets. I always start from scratch while playing Minecraft.

I know that we don't have the Terraria or Valheim mechanics of keeping players inventory and stuff, but we can accelerate the process by changing wilrd setting and give fast xp and more loot drops to accelerate the process.

It's really a non-issue depending on who hosts and how. Every time my group makes a new map, I use the Creative Menu mod and the experience rate slider to speed us through the first 20-30 levels worth of structures and pals.

How does starting at level 1 actually impact them though? If they join your in-game guild, they have access to your already developed bases and everything you can craft. Levelling is super fast with that.
