How to find ip address of a community server?
I want to join the same one as my brother but searching the name of the server gives me 0 results, even after refreshing the search over 50 times.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to let him simply direct connect to the server after joining it. Is this possible?

ask him what server hes on and look for it
once you've joined it, you can click "recent servers" to find it.

Re-read what I wrote. We search the exact name of the server to try and find it, but it NEVER shows up. That is my first line of text bro.

What about the invite code option? If he makes sure it's set to Multiplayer in the settings as he loads the game, then in the options/escape menu it should show a code he can send you. Can use it on the main menu to join games directly.

we were trying to join random community servers not hosted by us, so that doesn't work.

it's bugged. Apparently only 200 community servers can appear at a time, so unless you are lucky it'll take a lot of refreshing.

My friend rented his own server and he can't even connect to it with the IP address.

Have you found a way to do this?

Yes I have. So when you buy a server from G-portal (which I did), right above where the settings for the server is an ip address for the server.

If everyone uses that ip to direct connect to your server then they'll be able to rejoin the server any time they want, since recent servers as well as searching server names usually has 0 results.

So ask any server owners for this game to post the servers ip adress in chat and tell them where to find it. Otherwise you will keep having to restart on this game.

I learned this through buying a server of my own.

To direct connect to a server through the game, you select the second option which is the default multiplayer server selection screen, but at the bottom replace your ip with the ip of the server and hit connect. That will bring you to your desired server.

Yall are welcome.

no way I could do that, because me & my friend joined random community server rented by 'god knows who' and my other friend about to join us, but I can't find the IP no matter what. I've tried browsing the server list in the server hosting (called nitrado, net) but to no avail, a bit late but do you find another solution? like some kind of config file that contain the IP?

if youre still connected to the server you could try using a software to monitor your internet traffic and check the ip that way maybe

i think this could work

https://github.com/GyulyVGC/sniffnet

i dont know how easy it is to use this though was just 1 minute of googling
good luck
