Game being botted for Steam Charts statistics?

The game just came out, I find it very hard to believe that the game literally peaked players within 2 days more Than CsGo, 2 GOTY winners (BG3, Elden Ring). I do not own the game but i find it difficult that the game ammassed such a wide audience upon release. I've known of the game before but how many of you were even the game existed before it released.

I think this is really unlikely if you look at the achievement statistics. They would have to fake those as well.

Open world survival games with crafting and base building are doing quite well in general. Anytime you see one come out that allows you to play with friends and has elements of otherwise already popular games is going to blow up.

Nothing really that mysterious about it in my opinion.

Game is quite good, massively popular and has received a massive amount of publicity. It is not hard to believe that a lot of people were and still are playing it.

Personally I took a break from Baldur's to play this. Palworld, in it's current state, is probably going to get a bit old after a few days. As it is right now though it is still very much fun and engaging. My entire household has been playing it non-stop.

Lots of streamers played the day before release. That helps. Personally only had seen screenshots sometime within the last year but never looked further than that.

It’s overall a good time. Performance is decent to good for majority of players. Game is a mashup of two genres people enjoy.

Going viral is a pretty common occurrence in this day and age so I dont find it too surprising at the success of the game.
