It kinda is waste since you can just kill pals in the wild anyway. Its better to sell them than butcher imo

An overconvoluted way to rid of pals slowly and gaining their defeat rewards again.

You probably can take less time finding one in the wild and turning them into a pinball.

There's much better ways to get rid of unwanted pals. Its just weird.

Its literally free double loot? For like a 4 second animation... Seems fine to me.

And taking a long time to get out everyone from the box, summon them, krill, wait till animation finishes, go into extended animation for swapping if you summon the next too quickly and don't open the context menu too early either as it default to the next tool somehow so you don't get the prompt.

If you're doing it after a capture, in the wild with a free slot, its fine. But the way most people will experience it is the way above.

butchering alphas gives additional sellables and ancient tech, but also for some pals it gives you another chance to get rare drops (such as schematics)

chop delicious lamb chomps

breed anubis, every time you butcher one you get a large pal soul, and the legendary pals drop 10 pal metal ingot when butchered.

very useful imo

There should be a butcher house building, where you queue them to die

When going for legendary items you can in effect double every chance

Catch a Jetdragon (or 3 - custom settings) to try for the legendary rocket launcher schematic

Capture Jetdragon - % drop
Butcher - another attempt

And as noted above it doubles chance of extra mats on pals you do not want with passives u do not need

As legendary drop schematics are such a low percentage rate of dropping - it is actually quite helpful in this scenario

so instead you want to spend a whole ass minute flying to a black market location, scroll all the way through the box to sell pals for money that is basically worthless, and won't let you buy the schematics that would be your only reason to farm legendarily.

it's almost like you don't even know how end game palworld works.

kill alpha pal, 3% chance for its legendary recipe if it has one
capture alpha pal, same odds pluse a really big and powerful pal to use
slaughter captured alpha pal, another 3% roll after the capture one.

its double rolls on the creatures loot table.

now if your jsut running around slaughtering for meat, it might just be easier to kill most things that are weaker rather than capture. but if your trying to find legendary equipment, you should be capturing and slaughtering. it certainly isnt a waste of points. technically nothing is sine you an get more by grinding dungeons and such.

Have you ever had a boss pal that you had a particularly hard or frustrating time defeating?

Have you caught them but realised they have terrible traits?

Has this game awakened your inner dictator, where you see cute fluffy creatures as nothing but morsels for your own personal advancement?

Have you ever been slightly hungry?

It's mainly to duplicate the drops of alpha pals. Early game it might be useful to duplicate normal pals but that very quickly becomes a waste of time. It's for farming valuables, legendary schematics and ancient civilisation parts

Not gonna lie, a late game butcher table you can put pals in that will slowly butcher them over time without you having to do it manually that functions like the viewing cage would help with the monotony of having to take them all out 1 by 1 to butcher
