Properly setting up Community server
I see plenty of people doing it, and I have followed all the guides I came across, I can even connect when I direct IP.
Main problems are that I cant get the server to show in community list, and it never asks for password that I have set...
Any help would be great.

.BAT file
start PalServer.exe -ServerName="KGR's Pocket Monster Adventure" -port=8211 -players=32 -log -nosteam -EpicApp=PalServer -useperfthreads -NoAsyncLoadingThread -UseMultithreadForDS

(I could not get the server to even work till I added "PalServer.exe -ServerName="KGR's Pocket Monster Adventure" -port=8211 -players=32 -log -nosteam" to the BAT file)

Basically the same issue for me, Can't find my server in the community list nor battlemetrics. Server is up and joinable directly when no password is set, ofc I do want one though.

I want to say I had the same problem with 7 days to die, but forgot how I fixed it, if I even did

What you do is you go to any locked public server, put in the password for your server, say ok but DON'T connect.

Then the use your ip and direct connect. I takes the stored password from your prior entry granting access.

Workaround confirmed working.

Wanted to confirm this is working too, thanks for this!

I spent 1-2 hours last night/this morning troubleshooting "why doesn't my community server show up with steamcmd" despite supposedly setting everything up correctly. The "EpicApp=Palworld" was definitely needed but given the above workaround, I guess the only conclusion is that the in-game "Community Server" list either isn't working right or can't handle displaying the thousands/hundreds of thousands/millions(?) of servers people have spun up.

Probably will get better over time as the devs put more work into it... this is after all a new EA release.

oh that is cool, I will keep that in mind. My problem thoug is the password does not even work, like I have it set to use one in the INI files, but it just lets me connect without asking for it (of course using the direct connect)

Not really a problem while using direct IP, as the only one even trying to join will be peopel I give it out to. but later I would want it for when I figure out how to get it to show up in the community list.

just one of those things we will have to wait and see if it gets fixed.

So… I figured this out last night. My batch file would never start the server no matter what I did, and I realized it’s the same issue as Ark, in the batch file, get rid of the “ServerName” portion, just edit the server name in the ini file.

Also, I couldn’t find my server in the list, but I joined via IP address and after that it showed in my “recent servers” list. Hope this helps someone!

Passwords are bugged, there is a workaround in this thread.
Community servers are also bugged, connect through IP.
