What should i feed my pals?
I got a giant turtle but he harvests twice and is already heading for more food. I need something beter which can be automated so i can be gone for long stretches of time what are my options?

Cooked berries are fine for starting out, but with that little nutrition your pals are going to become very inefficient workers because they'll be constantly going to the feeder.

As soon as you have wheat, start making jam-filled buns (51 hunger, 6 sanity), considerably more filling food and just as easy to mass produce as cooked berries.

Then once you get an electric cooker, you move up to pizza (184 hunger, 23 sanity, gives a buff to work speed and slows hunger), which is easily the best food for base workers you can mass produce with automatically gathered ingredients.

Berry farm probably its what i use and i think they eat whatever tbh
Pals appear to eat anything.

Seriously, my chickens eat their own eggs.
Yea but the berry's are not enough for my turtles it has tier 3 mining and well it used it skill twice to mine and then is hungry already. need more filling stuff for him...
Your turtle might have a trait that makes it hungrier than others. I've seen traits like that. There's also the opposite where they are dieting (not worded as that but it uses the word diet I just can't remember at the moment).

In early game the easiest you can do is to plant the tutorial enforced 2 berryfields and get pals that manage all 3 steps of it and put a Feeding Box next to the field. The Pals will store the berries in there. Then have a kindling pal and every like 30-60 minutes you go to your campfire and bake the berries. (works even without a kindling pal but is faster) and then store those baked berries back into the feedbox.

Those give everything your pals need. Gives also sanity.

Later you can automate better food with more sanity. but if you add the hotspings the berries will be enough for a very long time.
Cooked food has more nutrition than raw food. Berry has 15 nutrition while cooked berry has 21. It might not seem much but when the big hungry bois needs dozens of berries, that extra nutrition would cut down a lot per feeding.
I like to use the grilled meat of their friends...
cooked eggs OP, make a 2nd base into a chicken farm only with lots of farms and 20 chickens u have endless eggs your welcome

What are the nutrition values of raw/cooked eggs?

I'd also be curious to see the output of a Berry growing trio vs 3 chickens.
now i wonder why pals dont ever in need of going poop
imagine they poop fec3s around, you put em in feed box again and they eat, a funny cycle.

Cooked berries are probably the easiest and least time-consuming thing to feed your Pals. Just build yourself a couple of berry plantations, get a campfire and feed bowl, get three pals (one for planting, one for watering, and one for kindling), and let it run by itself only occasionally stopping at the campfire to start cooking a large number of berries at once and bringing the berries into the feed bowl periodically.

You have problems good person.
I can't figure this one out either. Maybe tomatoes and lettuce will be better. But I'm at wheat tier and pancakes are not time-effective replacements for the berries. Nor are they sufficient at keeping pals on task.
I just fill the food trough with Fried Eggs and Baked Berries. Split the stacks, if you want, so Pals won't put perishable ingredients in there to expire. My own feed bag is also filled with Fried Eggs. 3 Chikipis at a Ranch gives tons of Eggs then rotate back to Bee, Cow and Lamb. Wheat Farm and Berry Farm round out the rest of ingredients.
Wheat, Cow, Bee and Berry are optional imo unless you're Breeding.
