Weight is a bit annoying.
Weight in this game is absurd, realistic maybe but not fun to be over encumbered in only a single damned vein or big block of stone mined if there is anything that needs tweaking it's weight it's not fun to gather resources or mine but it's fun to fight and collect pals. Yeah I get weight is a survival mechanic thing but I have never seen it balanced this poorly usually in games like this they do lower Yields and keep recipes far more reasonable but this game balances weight and recipe ingredients quite poorly.

Agree on autopickup sucking XD, accidentally walking on a demolished tree and going on encumbrance because you picked up every piece of scrap on the ground at once XD.

Make a team full of cattivas when you go gathering, and stop asking for casualizing games, just cheat mod or exploit if you dont want to play the game.

As usual, Pals solve everything. The llama king adds 100 weight capacity at base lvl 1 skill. If you fully upgrade him to lvl 5 skill it's way higher. Having multiple kings in your party gives you tons of levels worth of weight.

By curiosity how much is it "much higher"? i did upgrade a Kingpaca to one star and he got only a 10kg buff. Didnt really felt worth to go for 2-3-4 star for 10kg each. Does it acutally get better buffs on higher stars?
Weight is fine, in fact most items are too light and the level bonus is too strong.

ORE is too heavy. Every other heavy material is 3-5 weight, but ore is 8 weight for no real reason. The player needs to haul around 10k weight of core dozens of times to keep up with base demands, and that's just too much to be hauling around without special tools.

most downloaded mod and i love it. i cant stand weight/inventory management in 2024 after having it experienced in every game for so long. it doesnt add fun, it doesnt add difficulty, it just adds tedium to be backtracking constantly to store some random crap
Weight is something your intended to put points into, the encumbered system is a balancing mechanism to remove it or change it would circumvent the system and make one of the only useful stats as useless as the others. Additional at 16 points in 1 vein should not be hurting you unless you have some cracked settings. a vein even at max available multipliers only weighs 1100 pounds.

what are you talking about lol, 16 points in 1 vein?
i forgot whether it was 40 or 50 ore per vein but lets assume its 50, it only takes 4 coal veins that can be mined in under a minute with a refined metal pickaxe to reach 1000weight, wich is ridiculous. at least with above mod, 20 points into weight gets u 6200 weight which feels normal for such a huge investment of points

what are you talking about lol, 16 points in 1 vein?
i forgot whether it was 40 or 50 ore per vein but lets assume its 50, it only takes 4 coal veins that can be mined in under a minute with a refined metal pickaxe to reach 1000weight, wich is ridiculous. at least with above mod, 20 points into weight gets u 6200 weight which feels normal for such a huge investment of points

That would not feel normal, it would speed up the game play way too much especially for people on normal settings not cracked up ones. Games are not, and should not be designed around people that use the easiest possible settings it would ruin the rest of the game for everyone else. Heres an idea, Try to reduce the amount of stuff you pick up in your settings. Problem solved.

weight system is always annoying..... i have play game like skyrim, fallout 4 and dragon's dogma but it still find carry weight system annoying to deal with.... in this game it is a lot more annoying since half of the time you need to gather material and you cant really do that because of the weight system...

i think sacrificing half of your characters potential by putting (20) points into weight and in return being able to carry a ton of stuff which still limits u eventually due to inventory slot limit is fair

It adds friction, it's not suppose to be fun it's intended to balance the gameplay. A game without friction is not fun even if the friction itself isn't something inherently fun. Particularly in survival games where management is a staple.

If they even consider changing weight it should not be at the base level but something in the difficulty settings. As it would absolutely ruin the game for anyone trying to play the game normally. changing weight, adding item multipliers, it's practically cheating. Not everyone wants to play using their gamesharks.

Idk if people like this or not but what if they change it so pals don't give carry weight and instead can be attached to a cart to carry resources for you like kingpacca with no restrictions other than being unable to fast travel while there is items in the cart? I think that's a fair trade especially for how slow kingpacca is.
