Weight is a bit annoying.
Weight in this game is absurd, realistic maybe but not fun to be over encumbered in only a single damned vein or big block of stone mined if there is anything that needs tweaking it's weight it's not fun to gather resources or mine but it's fun to fight and collect pals. Yeah I get weight is a survival mechanic thing but I have never seen it balanced this poorly usually in games like this they do lower Yields and keep recipes far more reasonable but this game balances weight and recipe ingredients quite poorly.

I mean it was dormant for 2 days.. are you proud of yourself for bringing it back? Why don't you go find some more that are old.. make a lame ass comment that means nothing and bring those back too.. good job man.. you are awesome.

I would agree that the ratio is off if you were expected to carry and mine most ingredients yourself. But in this game, you have your pals make thousands of ingredients and carry them to storage containers. It's uncommon to do it yourself. So recipes require a lot to make things, because your pals automatically get the ingredients themselves quite quickly.

The ones that you DO get yourself, only require like 10 to 20 of those ingredients. Like organs and leather, etc. Nothing requires 100 organs, like stone or wood. And you could easily carry hundreds of those. So the ratio is actually pretty good. Auto mined ingredients that require hundreds? Don't have to carry. Ingredients you have to get yourself? Only require dozens.

Weight's not so bad overall. The game expects you to do most of your heavy duty gathering in base after a while. Ore is rough, but bring some Pals that can help you carry and one load of ore should do you on ingots for a good little while.

To be fair, it's only a few days and sometimes the sidebar will give you related discussions (without any indication of dormancy) that are much older than that. More than once, I've commented on a thread I got to that way only to realize I was necroing a month-old thread.

I just made an epic lunaris, my carry weight is about 750 right now. if i upgraded it again it would probably be even higher.

Two words: Grappling Gun

Go to the mine behind the cathedral in the red area with the Rushboars, Mine until you're overweight, start grappling to the next node, mine all of them this way.

When you're done either respawn back at base (only if you don't have death penalties set) or grapple your way back to the warp point in front of the building. Make sure you have a chest to dump the ore into right next to your Palbox.

Its Early Access.... but Stat Value Gains, are so out of whack. And value you get is... so weird.

Some of stats have Ark gains... but Palworld has Weigh gain at 50... Which is HUGE.
Item Weights... are just so far out there. What we have to collect and move back is just absurd. If Pals had Backpacks... it be different.

Most of early stat investments felt worthless. 2% on attack feels like nothing. It DOES WORK in long run.
Start of game? Weight dump, 750-1000 give or take. And you need it till you can get Pals.
Your still collecting certain things by hand.
Health is nice... but Shield is main reason you don't get 1shot. So Health gains feel kind a pointless.
Crafting need 2-3 points. Thats it. Put something on Key... walk away. (which is not how I like to play games..)

Being overweight should be slow walking regardless of amount. Its a Normal QoL Feature for most base builders.

Same, wonder if op has like 3 sets of armour etc in their inventory…like I used to before smartened up and made new box to store inventory items sep from my friends’ at base when I’m just going for mats in safe(ish) areas. Now get least 2 ore veins done before head back, and with change where can still move despite weight, just limp back if want more.
