I'll try to keep an eye on my numbers now though
For me it what that exactly! I didn't even realize that reparing some items uses them up. This is crazy! It makes no sense! These things are far to valuable. It's far easier to just replace the broken item. I dissasembled my reapir bench to protect myself from accidetnaly using it again.
I had one on my person and completed a boss fight - at the end of the fight, it was gone. Funny thing though, when I logged out of the prior session, they had ALL disappeared, so when I logged in and saw it in my inventory, I was a bit surprised - not too surprised it disappeared right after the boss fight though...
