you unlock them by building up your base and leveling up your Palbox
Otherwise, I find that in the higher levels that the percentages are so different between the spheres (1% vs 26% or something like that) that it's pretty obvious when one is useless.
Its like how loot boxes work, sure you see the knife at the very beginning and it makes you think you have a shot at it, but then it bends you over and sticks a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rifle skin right up your ass.
im fairly certain there is a mechanic attached to pals based on their rarity and level to grants negatives to spheres below a set tier.
