why some Pals will run away from me?

when i get close to them, some pals will just run off, i can't even catch them
what can i do?

Some pal tend to do that, some you can force them to fight you with range attack but some pal like lifmunk will just keep running forever even if you atk them, so until you have mount pal you just have to shoot them and run to capture them like that.

i can't even get close enough to have my first attack too :(
using bow already , they are just running too fast

Get a direhowl. I love these cute canine wolves.
Once you can get a saddle on them, you can easily catch up to running pals and spear them on the back so you can catch them.
