Leather is starting to be a problem

Leather is too much of a burden. Only a few Pals give leather and they only give a few leather meanwhile armor is constantly breaking and needs leather to fix. Can't breed for leather because breeding is an absolute joke, takes a million years to finish the breeding process and requires cake to get the egg which itself requires tons of resources and an astronomical cooking time taking like 4 minutes with 2 players and a fire Pal helping. So is the only way to get leather reliably just capturing and butchering pigs and foxes? It's so slow and armor breaks way too often along with everything else that requires leather it feels like the most precious resource right now.

Buy it. It's sold by the trader (permanent one can be found in the village) in unlimited supply, 100 or 150 apiece.

I've never not had enough leather for repairs just from farming odd mobs. I'm level 24 and haven't had to explicitly farm for leather a single time. Are you dying a lot? I've had to repair my armor probably a total of 4 times.

I don't bother with armor anyways... the protection it offers is paltry in comparison to the amount of damage you get when hit...

If you're going to farm leather, get a flying mount with a quick attack and go beat up the level 7ish wolf mobs. Can easily rack up a hundred leather in one standard game day just flying around and nuking them from the air.
