the wife
For this game in particular, I can't use the collar-pals. Daedream, Flopie... they stay too close and are very wiggly and that makes me sick. I also don't sprint much and play in 3rd person.
Alternatively, you could try to use some motion sick medications like Dramamine or even a non-motionsickness Benadryl which is fairly close in chemical composition to Dramamine. Both may cause drowsiness, but they're over the counter and have helped me in the past for games I really wanted to play but had minor blechs to. It's not ideal, but it may help. Also make sure you're sitting the proper distance from the screen, eye level and wearing eyeglasses/contacts of the correct script for you (if you have them)
You could try messing around with the settings until you find something that works for you. Everyone is different and every system is different so maybe there's a combination that works beter for you.
Not entirely sure why the youtube video was so long when someone could have just added the txt here instead. It looked like a 20 min dissertation on TAA vs AA and why it makes people sick. That constant flip floppy thing in the video actually caused me motion sickness, so I didn't watch the whole thing. I know it was well meaning and trying to help, but it made me ill. Sorry.... Youtube person. I know you were trying to help.
some stuff to try:
1- set lower resolution from desktop (yes, you might have paid for a 4k 144hz mega screen+gpu but if it makes you sick, 2k or lower might be the play here.)
2- try changing the physical distance that your screen is from where you sit.
3- try changing the physical height that your screen is from where you sit
4- try to get a lower resolution monitor screen, or a smaller screen size. (use a different screen with lower specifications)
5- try to lower the global fps from your gpu control panel or driver panel
field of view can cause a fisheeye effect if you have it too high, try adjusting back to 90 degrees, and maybe reduce it 5 points and try that too.
try to find a mod that allows the camera to zoom out more.
theres a combination of effects happening that contribute to simulation sickness, all you have to do is remove a couple of the factors and it'll disappear.
you'll probably need someone else to change the settings for you, if its just making you sick by looking at it.
i hope you guys can find a solution.
