pretty much every high place you climb to has either an egg, a green statue, or a treasure chest... It's getting a bit formulaic that if you see something higher than everything else around it, there's something worth getting at the top of it.

Yeah best way is to grab yourself a flying mount, then check all the mountaintops, rock spires, and canyon walls. Eggs tend most often to be in really inaccessible places like those, all of which are easily reached once you can fly.
