Questions about luckies
So the shiny equivalent in the game are called Lucky Pal. They're larger and stronger than normal, but still rare. I was wondering a few things about them though:

1. HOW rare are they? Shiny levels of rare? I've only found one lucky so far 8 hours in but I saw a streamer find one 20 minutes into her game, not even leaving the starting area. I'm wondering if fast traveling gets them to spawn since I found the lucky pal when I was transferring bases.

2. Can you hatch them from eggs? Can you turn normal pals into luckies?

3. Are the bosses in dungeons or the field bosses (of which I've just been calling alphas) different from luckies? Are they the same size as luckies?

So far I've found two shinies a good day's play (Cattiva and Eikthyrdeer). So they seem more common than Pokemon shinies, but they're still very rare.

To the eggs question, I've no idea, but you can't just turn normals into shinies.

Bosses are different from shinies... but I don't fully know how. I know the "Lucky" trait gives +15% attack and work speed, but I don't recall the bosses having any special trait (maybe I'm just blind).

I would add a question for that, can there be shiny bosses? That would be interesting to know.

Oh my god, lucky alphas must be basically kaiju if the size boosts stack. I second that question, I want a whole team of them now.

1. Less rare than shinies but still pretty rare AND easily missed in some cases... also they don't HAVE to be of larger size but they usually are more powerfull.... However there usually IS something that sets them apart from their non-lucky counterparts. So far I've had a Sheep that's about 4x the size of a normal one but I also found a PURPLE-flamed variant of those does... I think I have 5 so far (Different luckyies I meant)

2. I've hatched some 20 eggs now and haven't gotten a lucky one so I doubt you can hatch them or breed Pals into giving birth to one

3. Bosses are different from shinies in the fact that they look just like their counterparts, don't have the augmented first skill slot but DO have augmented stats....They're a PITA to catch though and I wouldn't be surprised if you CAN breed (into) them. I have maybe 2 of those at serious risk of my life and sanity (I think 1 brought me down to 1 hp and took me some 10 great spheres to catch and the other emptied my Sphere reserve and I manage to catch it whilst it was at a digit hp at a 10% chance to succeed)

I hatched one lucky, but it doesn't come shiny, just the trait

Breeding lets you carry over traits, right? Wouldn't it be possible to breed two luckies to get the trait twice and have them stack then?

Not from what I can see, spent most of my time today breeding and it only ever appeared once per Pal.

i have a lucky pal that isnt big it just has a lucky trait i was wondering if this is a bug or just rare i hatched it from 2 lucky pals
Not a bug. Only the trait gets passed down, not the bigger size or sparkles of wild Luckies.

When you breed pals with same traits they nullify most of the time and create random trait.
Lucky pals can be bred to pass just trait. That not make them "Lucky"
If you get Lucky yourself and manage to breed the Lucky passive onto a Pal that gets the Alpha modifier, you basically have a newborn field Lucky Pal.
Lucky pals are not a shiny equivilant, You explained how they're not in your post

1. Lucky pals are the rarest but easy to find once you're in the vicinity of one just follow the pulsing sparkly sound (it gets louder as you approach). They can be found in dungeons too and even in the 'nest' random encounter where a bunch of pals and an alpha spawn with a nest containing some loot and eggs. I got the nest encounter multiple times and only once so far there was a lucky among them. Best way to find them is to find the waypoints, then make a route between 2 of them and go from a to b then teleport back to a and repeat.
They can't be hatched from wild eggs.

2. The lucky passive skill can be bred along with the alpha modifier (size + higher stats). That's how you get the best of the best by breeding and then condensing.

3. Normal is base size and stats. Lucky is larger, slightly stronger and has a random high power attack (very dangerous at lower levels). Alpha or dungeon/world boss is the largest size and with increased base stats.

The best way to catch them is to have at least 1 pal with 'Mercy Hit' passive skill and upgrade your capture power with Lifmunk effigies and the newly added modules you can craft at the sphere benches.
Uh, folks... this is another necro.
