Tower and Dungeon mechanics for multiplayer question
Do you have to be in a guild together or can you team up for them while playing in separate guilds?

My wife is unhappy that we are limited to only one base, since we usually play these games with separate bases so she can progress at her own pace and still feel like she is accomplishing something. So I wanted to find out if we could run separate guilds and bases but still run the dungeon content and towers together.

Going to just post something to bring it on top because a lot of trolls are posting nonsense which push back a lot of posts that our fellow players legitimate ask for help in game and such. Until moderators start cleaning the forum from the trolling posts.

So to avoid the base limit issue, just dont join the same guild, do your own thing. Nothing prevents you from building near by eachother, adventuring together, running dungeons and bosses together. The main drawback is boss loot is one person only (even if you're in the same guild), and chest's are one person only, they disappear when opened but will respawn pretty regularly in the world and dungeons. You will both get the upgrade points for defeating the bosses even in different guilds as well, as long as you both do enough damage to the boss. Also you get access to a 2nd base later on in the progression, might even get a 3rd I dont know.

ALOT of the gripes my group had were things we overlooked early on, the looting is annoying, but you just branch out an adventure solo an group up for bosses an stuff. Id love to see them work more on it though an make loot group oriented to encourage exploring together.

I had the same concerns. Both can build up bases. If one person gets to base level 10 they can form a guild and the other join as at base level 10 you can have 2 bases. This takes a few levels but is a good way. Also the pals from the person joining the guild don't disappear. Or items or anything. We wasted 15 mins moving the resources across 'just in case' and it was fine.

Can opposing guild members run dungeons together? Is that a thing?

you could just test it, she can leave the guild and as long you are the leader the guild wont disapear. and you can reinvite her almost instantly if it doesn't work. next time you are in front of the dungeon try it, and make sure you both gain xp when defeating pals together without being in the same guild.

At base level 10 you get 2 bases, at base level 15 you get 3 bases.
On a side note, there's a mod that lets you have 100 bases from level 1.
