I think you need a better Cooler
or you just need to change Thermalpaste
Just as you mentioned every other game worked flawlessly. Only other issue I had was I couldn't get Spiderman to run to save my life. Ended up refunding the game before finding a solution. Wasn't long after when I bought D4 and had to jump down the rabbit hole of tech support to find out my stock liquid cooler bit the dust. I was still under warranty but didn't want to wait for the replacement nor send my entire system back to change one part. First time I didn't build my own but with the pandemic and the silicon shortage at the time it was worth it for me.
I changed the thermalpaste yes - it helped a little bit but not a lot.
Better cooler is on the way.
I had in the past some experience with those overheating things, it sometimes really looks like it is one game causing the stuff, but it will eventually end up being caused in any game. maybe your CPU is damaged and the game runs an area of your CPU more often than this one can handle.
Anyway. Yesterday I have been playing the game once more - multiple times - and cpu still gets hot around 80 and sometimes over. No crashes anymore and just smooth gameplay on 60fps. And I streamed for a bit as well. Smooth - no problems. Same temps. Which is weird. But I still appreciate every single comment on this topic.
I literally am looking at specific options and yall motivate me - with hate or with love. All good.
I will report back when the new cooler is installed.
Let me know how it works out. Palworld only crashed just like this if I had chrome/youtube/twitch open on my 2nd monitor. But if I don’t have those running in the background I never crash. I guess more demanding games on my cpu will crash if I have chrome open.
Thats a good one. I close everything else as well.
Ah right. I remember one patch on the game. But that was on launch day If I am not mistaken.
I use a gaming laptop and besides the rtx2060 my laptop has an integrated Intel stock card.
So what happens is sometimes some games can't detect my nvidia card and run on the integrated. I always know when it happens because the performance is trash. So if you have integrated graphic card you should force the game through nvidia/amd control panel to run the game.
